good coffee, not great pastries.... My husband and I recently stayed nearby on a trip, and ventured out from the hotel to find a local coffee shop. The front desk of our hotel said to try the Steaming bean. I found the coffee to be great, but the business itself needs a little fixing-up, and the pastries we had were less than delicious. As well, I thought the barista was not very friendly. If I lived nearby, I would give them another try though, to see if it was just a bad day, because the coffee was good, and the people hanging out there were nice.

Best coffee on the central coast. i've been coming to this place for years to cure my caffiene addiction. the drinks are buttery creative, give a great early morning jolt, and are totally worth the recently increased prices. i liked it a little better before they expanded, but now you never have to fight for a table! the baristas are pretty friendly, and the clientele are the nicest people you will ever meet. try the caramello!
