China Restaurant Buffet: AVOID "at all costs.".
My family and I had been patronizing this restaurant for 5 years, since 2006; the food has never been "that great," but lately the food has become more "un-fresh; gelatinous; greasy; processed and over-priced."
Lately, there has been no real "customer-service" to speak of, the place has become "dingy and not-too-clean (we've been "sickened" on several occasions) and run-down"; it's usually "hot; sticky and humid" inside because of the "all-day-buffet-food-steamers" ((the owners are "too cheap" to turn on the air conditioner for the sake of "customer comfort"), when asked, they won't do anything more than (perhaps) open the doors (which does NOT "alleviate" the uncomfortable "hot; sticky; humid" problem).
This place is on its way to "financial bankruptcy and going-out-of-business," and as a result, the owners have become extremely "greedy and disrespectful" towards what "few" customers they have left, and are constantly "scheming-up new ways" to "nickle-and-dime-you-to-death" and get "more money" out of you "for a constantly "shrinking" amount of their "mediocre" food.
They have no "real restaurant menus" at the tables for you to look at for "prices" besides their cheap; tacky "to-go" menus that are NOT provided at the tables, so they have begun to "take advantage" of this situation by "jacking-up the prices" and "padding the bill" whenever and wherever they can (which you don't find out about until you actually; "get the bill").
On our "last" visit, the male owner became very "abusive; disdainful and hateful" toward my family and I when we politely asked for an "un-touched; severely-over-priced" (we were "ambushed" once again with the "price") food item to be taken off our bill because they were trying to charge us "twice the normal amount" of what they "normally charged" for said item.
He "pitched-a-fit" and verbally hurled "degrading; insulting racial slurs" at us (we are multi-generational; native Californians of Spanish-descent); Americans and America "in general," obviously blaming us (Americans and America "in general") for the "failure" of the restaurant because we "finally refused" to silently continue to "pay-their-non-listed-ever-changing-jacked-up-prices."
Avoid this place "at all costs"; it has become "not worth it"; a "rip-off," and a very, very "ugly experience" to boot.
UPDATE: As "prophesied"; China Restaurant Buffet went "bankrupt" and has "gone-out-of-business."
