Amazing food. Yep, absolutely wonderful food to please your palate...worth the wait, and worth the expense. Take the time to treat yourself.
So-so food and Pseudo Francoise Owner/Manager! Pas de. I just read the last entry and thought "deja vu!" The guy who owns this place has an ego bigger than a pregnant hieffer! The food is not terribly enticing and when I wanted to complain about my poorly cooked steak, the manager/owner was simply brusque and didn't want to hear a word of what I had to say. I was appalled and don't ever recall such treatment since I was in Paris in the 70s and encountered a self righteous French chef who didn't understand what I mean by the word "stale." The food at McPhee's isn't horrible, but it ain't no haught cuisine, either, and the owner/manager... well, he's just too good for his britches. Want good beef? You can save a lot of money and get more taste (in more ways than one) at In and Out burger up the road near Atascadero!…
Horrible Service. Our group of 10 (all in our late 20's) went to this restaurant for an early dinner. The service was very slow. One of the ladies in our party used the women's restroom (which the floors were very slippery at the time, they may have just cleaned them) and slipped into the door on her way out. She is a little over 100lbs, and the manager (which I found out is also the owner) accused her of breaking the door jam and asked us to finish our meals and leave. I used the restroom subsequently and the door was fine. I asked to speak to the manager, he refused. He briefly stopped by our table, and informed us to pay our bill and leave and then walked away saying that he is to busy to speak to us. We finished our meals and on our way out I attempted to speak to the manager again. He would not give me the time of day and said that he could care less about our business. This is an extreemly poor way of conducting a business. The food was great, but the service was horrible. If you have any other options, please avoid this restaurant.…
Editorial Review. Rustic eatery serves American and international favorites like baby backs in Asian sauce, jambalya pasta and ancho chile duck quesadillas.
Great Quality and portion size. I love this place, it is the best place in town to get a steak dinner!! The portions are huge, defintiely enough for leftovers, and the service is unbeatable. They have a fairly comprehensive wine list. They also do brunch on Sundays with all you can drink mimosas....soooo good!!…
