A Good Restaraunt Destined to Become Great.
We stumbled into Blue when the other place we were planning to go didn't work out. Everyone of the staff seemed commited to making our experience excellent. I had the Santa Maria BBQ Salmon which was prepared perfectly, not to dry or under cooked, and was served with a tasty mix of asparagus, artichoke, and fingerling potatos. One of the best meals I've had in recent memory.
Pleasantly surprised by cuisine.
1. It would be great if Blue had their own website!
2. Blue has a really neat, eclectic atmosphere which I enjoyed very much during my one visit. The food was excellent (the best beef carpaccio I've had in awhile!). The wine list was interesting. The few downpoints included the lack of knowledge in my server. She was very nice, but had no real knowledge with which to recommend specific items to me. Also, the first employee that greeted us when we attempted to sit to dine was quite short with us. Maybe I would recommend that each employee be encouraged to be gracious to all guests despite appearance or the amount of money being spent.
I hope that Blue continues to do well. I visit San Luis twice a year and I will keep coming when I am in town.
