This yoga studio just keeps getting
better and better. Although the yoga is awesome (I usually take classes with Val), they have been offering more varied classes, like Nia and Tai Chi.
They also have great social events, like movie nights, pot luck parties, discussion groups. This Sunday, I'm going to check out an energy fair they are sponsoring, to learn more about Reiki, Craneo-Sacral, and Shakras.
I've recently been getting into meditation, and I've found Val (the owner) to be a great guide and she offers meditation twice a week. I also want to go on one of her trips. I've heard so many great things about these. Her next one is for Malaysia. We shall see. It sounds exotic though.
great place to Yoga.
This is my go to place for yoga. I usually take Val's classes but I've heard good things about the other instructors as well.
Besides yoga, I also go to Val's many special events, potlucks, movie nights, seminars, kirtans, meditation. You name it, she hosts it. Great community.
Lastly, I highly recommend going on Val's yoga retreats. I just went to Hawaii with her and several others. What a blast, and she found us one of the best hotels on the island at reasonable prices.
My Favorite Yoga Studio :). I practice yoga at least 3 times per week. I have been attending classes at the Holistic Movement Center since 2003. I mostly attend Val's classes because i appreciate the variety she offers. No two classes are the same in terms of postures, but every class is a fun and satisfying experience. I appreciate her skill in explaining how things are done and taking time in the postures. I also like her little insights as she drops them here and there through the class. I have taken classes with some of the other teachers and they are good too. I appreciate Katie's hands on approach, Lacy's calm and patient style as well. Overall, i have been a "regular" at the Holistic Movement Center because i get exactly what i need. I also appreciate the friendly people who come to classes. I know many of them from yoga and from around town and it feels like family.
