Long wait, but sorta worth it.
Good sandwiches, ridiculous wait. They have you order by filling out a form yourself and leaving it on a stack on the counter. That is fine, however you could be waiting a very long time since they don't make them in order. There were about 20 slips on the counter when I put mine on and I had to wait like 30 mins for my sandwich. I also bought these local SLO tortilla chips that were delicious!

Best sandwich.
All I really have to say is this place has B O M B sandwiches, only downside is the place is too small and too crowded, but man is it worth it after you get that delicious sandwich. Can't wait to go back!!

Best sandwiches.
High Street Deli has terrific sandwiches. The sandwiches are custom made to order, as you get to pick what goes on yours. I usually get turkey on sourdough and the sandwich ends up measuring about 6-7" high. (I'm not kidding.) It's just crammed full of meat and yumminess. The only downside is the place gets PACKED with locals, mostly Cal-Poly students, and the wait can easily take up to an hour after placing your order. So, go before you even get hungry, or you may just eat every chip in teh building before you get to your sandwich.

Great Sandwiches!.
I live just a hop, skip and a jump from High Street Deli. My favorite sandwich is the basic turkey with provolone on a french roll with the works. Yum! What I love about this sandwich is the french roll. It's soft and always fresh tasting. I'm sure they serve more adventurous sandwiches, but I'm a creature of habit. The counter persons are always nice and the sandwich makers are quick. Trust me, this deli is worth taking a short walk away from downtown.

it's been awhile but I still know...
its been a while but I wanted to drop a review on this spot. High st's got some of the best deli sandwhichs in town... great spot but a little off the downtown path. It's got that small town local feel with the antique decor and even a small bench out front to catch some sun, snack on the grub because you can't wait to get it home...
