An affordable, honest, knowledgeable mechanic. Gary knows his business. He'll talk to you straight, go to any length and always figure out the issue, tell you what is absolutely necessary and give you other recommendations depending on your budget. I brought in a Toyota Dolphin motorhome to him and he fixed had a laundry list of recommendations after running some tests. We talked about the necessity of each one and he walked me through fixing some of the issues myself to save money.

Now I live in Nor Cal and have an issue with my Tacoma. I probably won't, but it struck me that I was actually considering trying to drive all the way to SLO because I know Gary would have it fixed in no time. I did give him a call, he remembered me and was extremely helpful over the phone, trying to diagnose the issue and give me advice on finding a good mechanic. It was amazing to me how much time he spent, at no cost, working on this issue. I decided to write this review since it's the least I can do and anyone with an asian car in SLO needs to know about Asian Auto.

Diamonds found down town SLO!. I've had my Lexus Lx470 for a couple years now. I've put up with the local dealership not knowing that Asian Auto works on Lexus. I am so happy to report I have never been more pleased with all the work that was completed. They use Lexus parts also. I will be back the next time I need service. ASE certified, fast and accurate. Great find in San Luis Obispo, a little hard to find but I found a diamond!
