Never again.. We live in Fresno. We reserved a table for 3 on Valentine's day. We emailed the restaurant for the menu and they gave us a Fixed price dinner rate of $45 per person. My friend then called them to see if we could also order off the menu that night as it was a special day and we wanted to check. Yes, was the reply on the phone to Windows. We reserved a table then. We arrived on time, the place was NOT crowded. The waitress seated up immediately and gave us our unpriced menu.

We then asked about the price and she said it was $65 per person and there was no drinks included. This was a shock. We explained we had contacted them by email and phone 2 weeks prior and were told we could order off the menu and also have a fixed price meal at $45 per person if we chose.

She checked with the manager and informed us they were only serving the $65 per person meal that night. Drinks were extra.

We promptly got up and left the restaurant never to return again. We entered another restaurant and had to wait an hour for seating but it was fine with us. We mentioned to the host how upset we were after driving from Fresno to have Windows do this to us. He said, they are famous for this kind of treatment.

Windows had our table reserved for probably 2 hours for 3 people who walked out. And there was no line waiting to get in either. They deserved the loss of our patronage. I will never return and urge my friends to go somewhere else for dinner. In this economy, you can't afford to treat customers like this and survive.

I have been assured their food is excellent. We will never know.

AMAZING atmosphere complimented by OUTSTANDING cuisine. Every time I have come to Windows on the Water it has been an amazing experience well worth the cost. The seasonal feel just adds to the ambiance. If you're looking for a place for that special occasion this is the place. I highly recomend it!

AVOID. During a recent trip to Paso Robles and Morro we went to Windows for dinner. We eat out a lot and came to Windows because we heard of their great wine list. Well, the wine list couldn't save the truly sad condition of the food served. Entrees took an hour, in a half filled restaurant, and they arrived cold and tasteless. The service is beyond horrible, to the point of utter disbelief. We ordered the Branzino (cold, lifeless, inedible) and the "Local" special sea-bass (dried out, cold, with canned mandarin orange slices). The crab was obviously frozen, soggy and easily outdone by your neigborhood Ralphs. There is no fresh fish in the place! The worst part of the whole experience, the outrageous price. We ate at Artisan in Paso the night before for less than $100 and it was heavenly. Windows is resting on its harbor view reputation and they don't care. AVOID

Best View in Town. This place has a great view of Morro Bay harbor, and if you dine at sunset, you are in a perfect spot. The food is unbelievable and on Tuesday night they have a $1 oyster bar!! Food is of high quality and dishes range from grilled shrimp to steak. Lots of Seafood items and the menu changes regularly, based on seasonal and local vegetables. Sometimes there is live music and entertainment for patrons to enjoy.
