Wild boar mascot fountain greets visitors to redwood tasting room and cave tours at one of Paso's oldest wineries.. In Short Gary Eberle has been an area winemaker since the early '70s, and led the effort to for the establishment of a Paso Robles appellation. At his career high, he produced half a million cases annually for what is now Meridien Vineyards; at his own winery, it's a fraction of that, but still a respectable 25,000. The rustic tasting room sells everything from boar-logo merchandise to wire roosters. Many people can't help but wander outside to the expansive wooden deck and its sweeping vineyard views.
