how do you say yuck in french?. The people who give this place good reviews must not have eaten anywhere that has fresh seasonal cuisine cooked cleanly and deliciously. This place is stodgy, snooty, and oversauced. Yuck.

Small brick building off the downtown square fuses quaint French country cafe fare with upscale cooking techniques.. In Short
Mustard-yellow walls and striped curtains provide the backdrop for locals celebrating special occasions and tourists treating themselves to local cuisine. White tablecloth-lined banquettes and a smattering of center-of-the-room tables complete the interior; outside, a grape arbor shades patio diners. The menu runs the gamut from traditional starters like French onion soup and crispy tarts to more innovative entrees like rabbit compote with caramelized onions, and sauteed shrimp and squash in a pumpkin buerre blanc.

Lovely lunch experience. I have had lunch on the patio 4 times at Bistro Laurent. Each time I have been very happy with how delicious the food has been. My favorite thing to order is their pesto chicken sandwich, which is wonderful, and comes with an optional salad or frites. (The frites are the best in Paso) I was very happy with a ravioli mushroom soup, the chicken stock was rich and flavorful, and the ravioli were perfectly done. The atmosphere is romantic and cozy. The service was prompt and friendly. I hope to become a regular at Bistro Laurent
