Worst Meal I Have Had On Central Coast

My husband and I and have been anxious to try this restaurant. Tonight ordered the rib eye dinner with a side of ribs with the intention of sharing the meal. Our first shock was they wanted almost $10 a plate to share. Our salads came. They were frozen restaurant mix with a dressing that was not half bad. Then our steak and ribs came. Ribs tasted like they had been boiled until soup a few weeks ago and then slathered with a sweet sauce under the broiler. Rib steak tasted like a fatty piece of meat had been pan fried. Our vegetables were definitely a Costco mix thrown into a microwave or steamer with no seasonings. Maybe some of you like it, but this is not how we eat. We noticed the entire restuarant including chef looked like it was run by kids. I think they should get the owner back in the kitchen. Beautiful spot and such a waste. Good thing we shared a Tobin James wine for not much money. We will go back when the owner changes hands.

Awesome Western Experience

I was there some 3 years ago once when I was in the area for some work., and I loved the place.. I had never been to a saloon before, so, the decor was something that enthralled me.. Had never been to a palce that had heads mounted at the bar.. We were a bunch of people, so, we got to use their private room.
We also had dinner family style.. The portions were huge.. And I especially loved their signature soup which is made of beef broth and beans..
Some of us had chicken and some of us had beef.. And when the food came, the conversation came to a halt, which is usually a good sign for the quality of the food.
Their sides included mashed potatoes and rice, which were both very yummy! I think a dessert of a root beer float was also included in the price.. I don't care much for root beer, so, I would have liked something else for dessert, but, I was way too full anyway..
If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be sure to stop by here..
