The Temple Will Make A Believer Out Of You... by Lauren C. at InsiderPages

My family and I LOVE Taco Temple in Morro Bay. The food is truly a religious experience. The location is convenient, with lots of parking available - but though they have expanded, the place fills up fast! My best tip is to get there early. Believe me, if you have to wait for a table - it's well worth it!

We frequent Taco Temple on a regular basis! The food is amazing and a bit healthier than your traditional mexican food. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is great.

My family loves the food at Taco Temple. The food is always fresh, and you get alot of food for the money!
Haven't tried anything there that we didn't really enjoy.
The fat scallop burrito is well worth the money.

If you have not tried Taco Temple, you might mistake it for just another Taco shop near the beach. Taco Temple is far from it. The food on the regular menu is amazing and the specials are even better. I have never managed to finish a full meal there but half of the fun is taking the rest home to enjoy later! Mexican is not really the right category for Taco Temple. They call it California Fusion... think of Sunset magazine and you have a good idea of what the food is like.

Taco temple, at one time was wonderful, the food is still o.k. Now you can't be served on the patio, you can't
order certain items to go,at someones whim. You are treated like cattle!!! I'VE BEEN TREATED BETTER AT TACO BELL??? Image that. The roll your eyes service at night , I'll never be back. GOOD LUCK!
- Pros: parking
- Cons: attitude
Best Mexican Food Anywhere

Yep, this is the place if you want it all. Food, beverages, company...not to mention, you are minutes away from the beach. Enjoy the sunset, as you enjoy the best mexican food around.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

I am absolutely amazed at the great reviews for Taco Temple. For a highy inflated price, I was served boiled chicken with a pile of lettuce on top -- no seasoning, no tomatoes, no fresh herbs, nothing. It was bland and distasteful. The odd taste of the chicken actually gagged me after a while. There were no sides to go along with this "chicken salad". The place looked like a bus stop inside and a 99-cent store outside. There were no booths, just uncomfortable wooden chairs and too many tables crammed into a very, very noisy room. Kids were screaming and folks were shouting over the kids. My husband orderd a Salmon Salad. The Salmon was flopped onto a plate by itself and a salad was plopped down next to it. And that was that. Weird meal. We love to eat good, healthy food and were looking forward to this place, but, Oh, my God!!!!"
- Pros: They allowed us to leave the building.
- Cons: Ugly building, no ambience, ear deafening, horrible food, over-priced
Terrible Service at Taco Temple by Don U. at InsiderPages

My wife & I were frequent customers of Taco Temple, but never again. We stopped in this evening to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary. We were quickly seated (got in before the evening rush) and our server took our drink & food order within 5 minutes. Then the wait. Forty five minutes after we placed our order, the server saw our questioning looks and said there were only 3 people ahead of us and our food would be coming up shortly. People who came in well after us were being served & leaving when after one hour & 5 minutes after placing our order I called the server over and asked when? She said soon. I asked for the drink bill, paid it and left. Their food is tasty but not tasty enough to overcome the bad taste in our mouths from this experience. We'll never return.

This place is great, really low key and informal; this place boasts the best fish tacos i have ever had. The portions are large as is the flavor. They basically do a california take on spanish/mexican food. Really healthy and fresh tasting food.
- Pros: Large portions of high quality food
- Cons: Can get very busy, no reservations, so plan on waiting for awhile if it's dinner time.
Taco Temple's Calamari Rings are Tops

Try the Calamari Ring appetizer as a main dish and the bread pudding or tres leches cake for dessert. The fish tacos are great; everything is savory; cash or checks only, though. Yummy shoestring potatoes, too.
- Pros: Food quality, Variety, Desserts
- Cons: Pricey for family, Crowded, Hard to get seated
